When parents are embarrassing

This is what happened to Brad Pitt last week. His mother, Jane Pitt, sent the following letter to the Springfield, Missouri News-Leader:

I have given much thought to Richard Stoecker’s letter (“Vote for Mormon against beliefs,” June 15). I am also a Christian and differ with the Mormon religion.

But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.

Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.

MICK Jagger was so obsessed with Angelina Jolie he bombarded her with phone calls begging to see her, a new book claims.
Excerpts of Christopher Andersen's MICK: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger have surfaced online and they paint a disturbing picture of the Rolling Stones frontman.
Jagger reportedly fell for Jolie in 1997 after she played a stripper in a video for the band's song Anybody Seen My Baby.
At the time Jolie was married to British actor Jonny Lee Miller but her mother Marcheline Bertrand, a huge Rolling Stones fan, felt she could do better.

11. I question if his mother actually wrote it

Brad Pitt has always been close to his parents and they have friend Joile as well. I would have to think that as a parent of a famous child (and not famous themselves like Joile's parents were) that they would not do something that could potentially embarass Brad and Angelina.

Both Brad and Angelina have spoken vocal about marriage equality for all (they support it) so why would his mom write a letter like that?

On the other hand, if someone is trying to tarnish Mrs. Pitt, well, there are legal remedies for that. But why would someone go through that much trouble?
