The seratonin floods your brain because your muscles are starting to ache, and it's to combat pain. I love it too: I also get it when I bike up a hill, then get to fly down it.
Cardio is what makes exercise fun, otherwise I probably wouldn't move away from my screen and my caffeine. Weight lifting and yoga are boring. Running and biking are the best.

I have a friend who is a runner and after running his testosterone levels are right up there. He often calls and comes over and we keep the plumbing clear. He's 52 and in great shape.
