I'm a bad person, I know...

I usually wait for the reviews, watch the reruns if the show is good, and then catch up...

- they endanger themselves constantly.

and the science is bad.

I really want to like it, but ... it just is so mediocre.

And it looks like Steven Spielberg is no longer affiliated with it.

The field of science fiction has some truly innovative minds but it's apparent that the business people producing the shows don't want to take risks and break new ground. When there were only three networks in the old days, shows like Way Out, The Twilight Zone, or The Outer Limits could get produced because there was less competition. Now we keep seeing rehashes of War Of The Worlds, V, Independence Day all mishmashed together. I love horror, fantasy, and science fiction but I have to turn to the written word for something exciting. Rarely do you see something good on TV or at the movies these days. I'd like to see a network produce an anthology series of high quality in science fiction the way Masters Of Horror handled the horror genre. And I would hope that people would recognize quality writing and directing and support such a series.

stupid decisions and a firefight to get across a river.

The whole Tom-goes-into-the-spaceship thing was really downplayed as flashbacks.

you didn't miss anything.

Too bad. Because ABC's (or was it Fox?) Terra Nova was also a super stinker.

With a big ole' fence surrounding the camp.

We tried for a few episodes, but it turned into a story about the military fighting the T-Rex, or something equally idiotic.
