So that is my choice, otherwise, I wouldn't be able to decide.

I would say Prometheus, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high as the original Alien ranks in my all-time top 3, but since then the franchise has been an uninterrupted downward trajectory. AvP made history by officially ruining TWO franchises. (Actually I heard Predators was good, but I didn't see it) and the fact that Ridley Scott is back to direct Prometheus bodes well, but I'm still trying to temper my expectations.

I'll probably see the new Batman movie too.

AvP made no sense. Especially now that Prometheus will begin the storyline that puts that ship on a trajectory to Earth. (I figured that out from the commercials). If you string the stories along chronologically, it ends with a whimper.

Only 10 years after the first installment of the previous reboot? And those movies (IMO) weren't even very good.

This is shameless even by Hollywood standards.

supposedly it's going to be darker, but who cares. The last series JUST came out, why the need for a new one? It seems like they're trying to piggyback onto the success of the darker Batman series.

Why take a chance on something new when you're virtually guaranteed a nice profit margin going back to the well?

This is just a particularly egregious example.

I've heard it's based on the Ultimate Spider-Man run of comics, which I am a big fan of.

I hate that main guy that's going to be in it, but I love futuristic movies and loved the 90's Total Recall. Wondering if I can drag my wife to this one.
