1. Two basic points of survival

1. If you see the ocean receding exposing lots of fish and other interesting things - quickly move to the nearest high ground (do not go look at the fish).

2. If you see a bright fireball in the sky pretend that an explosion is going to go off near you. Park your car, get down away from the glass, move away from buildings if outside and get down, move to interior rooms if you are in the building. Dont' go look at the fireball no matter how interesting it is.

A third one for bonus. If your pet is acting really weird, and you live in earthquake country. Get underneath something sturdy and strong (or get outside of the building completely).
