Watch it!! It is very good analysis by Rachel. And no, it wasn't just about the drink, although she mentions it briefly... While the clip of the drink lurch is playing in the foreground throughout the whole extended segment.

She discusses the history of the SOTU response, and the history of the SOTU response response (from the tea party).

This is brilliant. God, I love Rachel!

... old Jim Wright handled it just fine after many Reagan SOTU speeches... I used to watch those just in prep for Wright's deadpan understated and sometimes hilarious responses. Sounded just like Huckleberry Hound. But Wright was a substantive guy, with a real political perspective and core. Didn't appear to be reading off a teleprompter, no doubt didn't have to. Marco Polo Rubio was obviously prattling off talking points, the same ones that are sounding so stale, with NO ability to adjust midstream. He was on display as exactly who and what he is... a tool.
