Mexican family turns giant rock into home

Published on Jan 23, 2013
For over 30 years, Benito Hernandez and his wife have lived in a sun-dried brick home with a huge 131-foot rock as their roof. Residents of the area make a living from the Candelilla plant, which is used largely in the chewing gum industry.

1. I wanted to see the lavatory!

I'm sure if they constructed it as well as it looks, it must have been down stream or composted outside.

This is my definition of what a survivalist is.

3. My wife is from Coahuila. She recognized the hill!

It's called "El Cerro del Pueblo" (The People's Hill).

Way cool!
