Thom Hartmann: Is Japan Dumping Austerity?

Eamonn Fingleton, Economics Journalist / Contributor-Forbes.com / Author "In the Jaws of the Dragon" joins Thom Hartmann. As much of Europe continues to suffer at the hands of austerity - one Asian nation might be showing the entire world how to break away from these devestating policies and principles. What's going on in Japan right now - and has that nation come up with the solution for escaping the global recession?

1. hmmm

next door to me one largish house with a garden (big for tokyo) was torn down and six-pencil-case style homes at $1/2 mil each were built and sold within weeks. now on the street behind an apartment building is going up along with two homes (this is all within 100 meters of me) ... while things might be precarious, eamonn has a much higher regard for and is in cautious awe of china than he does of japan - having lived here ... he is correct about us-media exaggerations (and ommisions) and that politicians have little policy influence and do indeed rubber-stamp what powerful key bureaucrats (unelected btw) put forward ...
