1. Almost anything can be made to fly with the new batteries and motors available.
|
I knew one guy who taped a motor and prop to a pair of socks and was able to fly them around.

3. I always wondered
|
why the people who thought it was a bird or a plane were so astonished.

4. If u build a flying superman, u should build him in the right pose.
|
Don't u think? Superman flew with at least one arm forward.
perhaps only to block birds from Fabo-ing him in the face, but I never saw him do this yahoo dive flying position. lol |

5. when going fast he pulls his arms back
|
although I see your point.
The "arms in front pose" is iconic. |

6. His arms are the wings.
|
Putting his arms in front would require a more technically challenging forward canard design.

7. You can get plans to build one of these
|
I've thought about making one like our high school mascot (a forest ranger) to fly at various school sports and rally events. The hands (arms) could be in front - just like the Wright's first flyer!

8. That is a pretty unique mascot!
|
At least I've never heard of another forest ranger mascot.
A flying one would be cool. |

9. Yeah, well we live near the giant redwoods
