Ironically, that interview, which angered Clinton personally and offended his staff, showcased his brilliance, his astute governance and thorough knowledge of ever issue and the quickness of his mind.

Bill Clinton -- sheer genius. Wish he could have had a third term.

And Amy Goodman -- sheer courage. Wish she had a wider audience.

That does not mean I agreed with Clinton on everything (especially trade). No one is perfect. Certainly not me. Certainly not Bill Clinton.

But as I listened to that interview, I was reminded why no president since Bill Clinton has really measured up to Clinton's mastery of the issues -- even though Obama may be a greater president thanks to the great metaphysical, spiritual power he possesses which is managing to hold our country together against all odds.

And Amy Goodman, by putting Clinton to the test, showcased Clinton's political and policy virtuosity. Bravo, Amy!

I come away from listening to that interview with the feeling that I have after listening to a great piano/violin duet played by two artists of the highest merit.

on both sides. I don't see what there is to get offended by. More interviews should be like this. Politicians should all be able to answer their critics. If they can't, they're worthless.

Whether we support a candidate or not, we all have these types of questions regarding various issues, and the answers to them are really far more important than the usual drivel spouted during interviews.
