Fox News busted reporting drivers on Cannabis

#!

Fox News created a news story with a test they designed to measure the accuracy of stoned drivers. I knew they would skew the truth of the test, so this video shows the undercover footage I took, to show how Fox News created this test to fail and reported false news to the state of Colorado on stoned drivers.

1. Dokkie, ,is that you on that video?

Are you the one who did the undercover work?

If so, that is the coolest thing I have seen on this site.

This should absolutely go viral.

8. Oh no

This is just a youtube channel I found. It has gone semi viral with I think 200k views. I just posted it to remind everyone about the tactic the media (especially right wing ones) will use to portray the democratic will of the people in a negative light.

These law enforcement types will manipulate and lie in order to sway public opinion against marijuana once again

3. Test is flawed if they didn't have a control group

All such tests must have a control group. That is, a group that has 0 amount of THC in their blood stream. Otherwise, it's a meaningless test that's not calibrated. For all we know, no one could have passed the test.

6. KDVR - former Fox owned station.

I don't know if this is just the local Fox, or if "Local TV" have now decided to use FNC's methods. Or just a bad report. I usually associate local Fox stations with reasonably good reporting. Maybe WGHP (my local Fox affiliate, also owned by "Local TV") has a better reputation because it was a former ABC station and a lot of that mindset remained.

But a single TV report with unrealistic settings and no set standards for the test means that there is a fair way to go to establish a "too stoned to drive" standard. It did prove one point... The state wantsto set a standard that means some people will fail even if they haven't used cannabis for quite a while.

9. Funny how no one recognizes that the chemical properties of cannabis that provoke ANXIETY

might, just might, result in MORE careful drivers.

My personal hypothesis about his has to do with how cannabis turns down certain perceptual filters, thus bombarding one with a level of sensory input that you're not used to, ergo anxiety. Higher sensory input, more attention to traits associated with driving, then, the only problem is how to avoid getting lost amongst higher level inputs that have to do with things like orienting oneself in unfamiliar surroundings, e.g. what direction to turn at an unfamiliar corner on a side of town that you rarely visit, or whether you're looking for a state highway exit or a federal one. Details all good, the much bigger stuff, not so much.
