2. Aside from her cluelessness, how long does it take to kill those poor turkeys in the machine?!
|
It's one thing that this is all taking place right behind her and she's oblivious or willfully oblivious to it, but that turkey killing machine looks pretty sadistic and not humane at all! That poor turkey is trying to get it's neck out of the hopper while weird guy holds it's struggling body for minutes. I thought the whole purpose was to quickly kill the bird. What the hell is happening in that machine?

3. It's not a machine, sorry this is kind of gross so ignore if you want
|
it's just a funnel to hold the turkey in place while it bleeds out. I don't know how that place does it but a lot of turkey farms use something akin to electric pruning shears.
You drop the bird head first into the funnel and then as soon as the head pops out of the bottom you cut it off with the shears. The turkey struggling is the proverbial "chicken with it's head cut off". |

Last edited Wed Nov 21, 2012, 01:00 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) seem as if the turkey slayer is getting a kick out of SP's cluelessness? Notice how he even appears to be rattling the machine in the background on the 2nd turkey? Yet she doesn't notice? Wtf?
I liked KO's adding the WKRP part in, as the whole clip felt a bit like a 70's sitcom; only cheesier than his choice... I'm thinking something on the line of Carol Burnett w/a laugh-track. Harvey Korman would be the guy in the background, except the turkey would get stuck or something. It'd obviously be a fake turkey though. |

6. "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"

I remember seeing that WKRP episode the first time it was aired, and damned near fell over laughing. Fact *IS* stranger than fiction and only a total ditz like Sarah could demonstrate such abysmal cluelessness that she out-WKRP'd WKRP.
