1. Disappointing to say the least...
|
He does a horrible Obama, and is a horrible actor. Last night's episode had so much potential, I mean if they had just spoofed Fox "news" alone it would have been extremely entertaining, but instead it was as dull as it's host Anne Hathaway.

3. Ive seen better skits, but I have to disagree with you on his doing "a horrible Obama".

I think he's quite good. I also though Fred Armiston was good.
I've been watching SNL, on and off, for over thirty years...They were never, IMO, consistently funny. Since the middle seventies, they've been funny, oh, maybe about a third of the time. The relatively short-lived In Living Color was consistently funny FAR more of the time. |

5. Loved SNL the first few or so years but lost me by the early eighties

haven't watched more than two full episodes (probably not even two) since the late seventies.

2. I think SNL has lost it's edge. They used to skewer both sides and did it in a witty manner.
|
Now it's just making juvenile jokes and endless game show parodies. I also think the people who left the show recently know it's becoming less creative and innovative.
