Who came up with this idea? The whole concept seems dangerous to me unless I am missing something. When first learning basic science one of the things that struck me was how fragile earth's core could be. Messing with the components and pressure of deep earth just seems suicidal.

You are correct in that it's dangerous and stupid. the toxic chemicals are really the problem, one because it takes clean water and makes it forever toxic, and two because the chemicals themselves don't stay where they inject them, they migrate and poison underground water.

for those chemicals to erode and sink deeper into the core over time? I have read different reports on the chemicals used and their breakdown over time.

Thanks for the information. I am really trying to get a clear picture on this. I saw one documentary where the people were living with water that was permanently green. Then there are the reports this may contribute to tremors. Scary.
