Since George W. Bush took office in 2001, the income gap in the United States has been growing wider and wider every year, and it doesn’t show any signs of closing. As long as we keep giving away huge tax breaks to the wealthy, the burden will always shift to the middle class workers. blue-collar jobs by sending them to China or elsewhere, they're always against minimum-wage increases, they (at the top) give themselves huge bonuses and 'golden parachutes', etc etc etc.
