defies any logic. I'm embarrassed to live in a state where this piece of excrement is even a candidate -- and will probably win.

So that would include rape and pregnancies caused by rape. This God character is a real prick sometimes.

21. You nailed it! Why go after a thief, rapist, child molestor or murderer? Or send them to prison?
|
Think of all the money to be saved so the 1%, who God also blesses with riches, will be richer. Never tax them, because the poor should starve, it's God's will.
This is the 'shit happens' and the 'just get over it' meme. Like a herd of gazelle, run off to take care of yourself while the lions eat eat your relatives and your kind. Forget all that New Testament stuff. Jesus didn't really mean what He said, anyway. Apply |

12. Only Repubes can justify forcing women to carry to term, then
|
turn around and tell those same women they don't deserve government support.
Think about it.. Those asshats first will deem a group of cells as a 'living baby', then tell the woman, no matter what her circumstances, that she MUST allow those cells to develop into a child.. THEN have the fucking audacity to tell the mother that she doesn't deserve any kind of government support because we're such a horrible welfare state. Both of these guys are against abortion, yet support "smaller government" and are anti-welfare. |

Last edited Wed Oct 24, 2012, 02:49 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Let's assume that a child that would have otherwise been aborted due to horrific circumstances such as rape is forced to be born and due to his/her unfortunate circumstance of being born to a mother who was not ready for such a difficult task, grows up with some questionable ethics and morals.
Fast forward 20 years or so. The same child decides that all his life's woes are the result of Senator Mourdock and in his/her unbalanced state, exacts revenge on the Senator by murdering the Senator's family. Doesn't that mean that the death of the family was "something that God intended to happen" and the murderer should not be punished since clearly that was God's plan? I wonder if the Senator would be quite so blithe in his comments then... I feel like Mourdock's disgusting mentality is a slippery slope... |

Willard and Mourdock somehow become pregnant after being raped. They both now feel the weight of their "values". Now they wait to bear the "God Intention" to come to pass. I wonder if they'd have any doubts about their words...

I'm having a really hard time responding without overtly shitting on religion. I like this person, and don't want to alienate him, but he's a Democrat who is Anti-Choice because of religious beliefs. |

Richard Mourdock Rape Comments May Be October Surprise To Help Dems, Obama
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/24/richard-mourdock-rape-october-surprise_n_2012802.html WASHINGTON -- This is starting to look like a Mourdocktober surprise for Democrats. Indiana's Tea Party Senate candidate, state Treasurer Richard Mourdock, may have handed Democrats the last-minute, swing-state lift they needed with his stunning comments that pregnancies stemming from rape, however horrible, are "something that God intended to happen." .............. |
