The "optimal comment" sounds very strong (in a good way) in context. Jon Stewart: a great and consistent journalist.

You have to know that this is all we will hear about in the media for the rest of the election. It was a good answer in human terms...but in political terms, this will not help the president.

The best hope we have now is that republiklans will overreach, something they are prone to do.

"The stakes in this (election) could not be bigger...war, peace, Supreme Court, women's right to chose, whether we're creating jobs in this country, or shipping them overseas, whether our kids are getting the best education they can...
All that stuff is at stake...There is no excuse not to vote, and...I hope you vote for me"

with Social Security and Medicare for buffers against destitution, I am aware of how my fortunes might change if Rmoney/Lyan get to spend time in the White House. I've already voted and so, sit here with fingers crossed and hopes high. We've got a good and decent man for president - I'd hate to think we could voluntarily trade him for two snake-oil salesmen.
