got disgusted with them and quit about 25 years ago. I support the 2nd amendment but I think there should be stricter gun laws. The NRA is simply just a Republican super pac.

I was on a couple of rifle teams, shot competitively, and NRA membership was required for the team at my school. My coach just signed me up and handed me a card, thought it was pretty cool at the time, felt it made me "official." But it is no longer my, nor my father's, NRA.

Obama has said that he is against assult weapons, and I think if he could get the votes in the house (which he won't for at least 2 years), he would try to pass an assult weapons ban.

Regardless of how Romney feels, I don't think he is going to pass any major gun control laws, since he would loose a lot of support if he did (and he would need to run for reelection, Obama won't.). So I trust Romney more than Obama on this issue, but I'm not a single issue voter.

Every good hunter needs an Assault Weapon that is NOT regulated.

Because in the last 4 years Obama hasn't passed any regulations on firearms, but you never know.

The NRA works to undermine candidates at national, state and local levels. If legislation never reaches the executive level then the NRA has reached their objective.

I don't trust Romney or Obama on gun rights. At least we can say that the GOP party platform is not anti-gun, as the Democratic party platform is.

I just emailed the NRA for their list of endorsed candidates for the upcoming election. Hopefully this time, as last time, I will find that most of my Democratic candidates have high marks.

I'm still voting for Obama again, though.
