1. Lisa DeBartolo is from near me.

Her father, if it's the same Lisa DeBartolo, is Ed Debartolo the mall magnate and real estate developer from Youngstown. He owned (owns?) the San Fran 49ers.

I'm glad she's a liberal still true to her steel valley roots.

On edit:
Yep... Same Lisa DeBartolo. Here's a guitar that was auctioned off at last year's DeBartolo Family Foundation. It's signed by both Edward DeBartolo and Don Miggs (upper corner).

5. Eddie D isn't in charge since he went to prison, but the family still owns the team.

His nephew runs things these days.

They're putting a statue of him up at the new stadium.

2. That is so typical of many, maybe even actually most, young Americans. And Republicans are so

wrong about them, so projecting their own greed onto younger generations.

Many/most aren't greedy and demanding to be privileged and rich. What they want is fairness and economic justice for what they bring to the table. They want a fair and stable foundation, upon which to pursue their own talents and interests, their OWN lives.

4. What a powerful story. There are hundreds of thousands of stories just like it. The problem is....

not everyone owns it. Thanks Eddie, and you deserve every bit of your success.
