I doubt if that forecast was very useful. Nowhere as hilarious as the OP, but it was an example of trying to maintain one's cool when those maps don't work.

Now this is much more obvious with the humor, fortunately it's not real!?!

Nice - event hough I suspect it could have more impact, if she hasn't going of the cliff of in the end

..

But the point is clear- we NEED to do something, to stop the impacts we have on our planet - it will take some brave souls to be able to do it - and I suspect it might be difficult to find the brave souls to do the right things...

so, babies are cute, and growing your family is a romantic idea....but soft-focus idealized fairy tales need to end (not to mention the capitalist interest in high fecundity)

the destructive effects overpopulation cannot be mitigated by non-population related stop-gaps.

I agree - to many people, on the wrong places, and the result is chatastrophic....

But I doubt you will find any leader, and government, who would go to the Draconian measures as th PRC did, and do today..

The problems is that many, (specially in poor country) doesn't have anything else than their offspring's to fall back to when they got old - and as many children often die before the age 5, you need at least a couple of children, to be sure that one of them grow up, and can support you when you get old and infirm.. As new medicines, and combine it with better heath care all around, poof you get a lot of people who need food, cloth and work...

And we are now more than 6 billion on the earth... We better discover some new forms of making food, or we have to make some adjustments - or maybe go all the way and build new city''s on Moon all togheter... I would not mind live on moon..
