My generation had Cheech and Chong, now there's Harold and Kumar (I like to think of them as Harold and Kumar and Neil).

The big difference is that Cheech and Chong played uneducated unemployed lower class stoner losers whereas Harold and Kumar are educated unemployed upper middle class stoner losers.
