Bill Maher Defends Clint Eastwood: He Spoke To A Chair For Ten Minutes And The Audience Loved It

VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bill-maher-defends-clint-eastwood-he-spoke-to-a-chair-for-ten-minutes-and-the-audience-loved-it/

Bill Maher dissented with much of the reaction to Clint Eastwood‘s truly unique speech at the Republican National Convention last night, defending Eastwood’s routine from the cavalcade of criticism. While he said that politically, Eastwood is an “idiot,” he defended Eastwood’s stand-up comedy by saying that “without a teleprompter,” he did a ten-minute bit with an empty chair and “killed. --snip--

It was not funny.. it was like something from my first improv class. There IS a reason why Eastwood is an actor (i.e. saying someone else's words,) and not on Whose Line is It Anyway?

Clint Eastwood has a DOZEN kids ... I don't know why the press lets Clint get away with his "7 kids by 5 women" nonsense ... the count is much higher ... And why doesn't anyone ever ask this prominent Republican about his family values? ... His reputation as a scoundrel and womanizer is well known ...

Clint has a new movie coming out and he used the RNC to get himself in front of the cameras. Why doesn't the press start telling some truths about Clint Eastwood.

Bill Clinton had to endure the press' scrutiny on his womanizing, but not CLINT? Why? Where's the Huffington Post?

Clint was an angry old man, arguing with an imaginary Obama, and blaming him for things that he did not do, or that never happened.

For those 12 minutes, Clint was "one of them". And they loved him for it.

Here ya go Bill ...

First Question for Clint:

Mr. Eastwood, Isn't it true that you own Tehama and it is at this private golf resort you hold a yearly holiday party for your DOZEN children (most of whom are illegitimate)? ... Bill, will you have the courage to ask Romney's lead in speaker how he keeps all these women and their children quiet? ... WITH MONEY ... he's pays the women off ... the second oldest profession ... come on, Bill, Clinton was butchered for womanizing, but not CLINT? ... why not? ...

If you need any further help doing YOUR job, Bill, just drop me a note ... yeah, I've got more on CLINT ... lots more ...

Second Question for Clint:

Mr. Eastwood, Isn't it true that you just used the RNC to hype your new baseball movie and you're just another SARAH PALIN except this time it's CARMEL CALIFORNIA style?

Follow-up question for Clint:

Mr. Eastwood, Did you think about how much EGG you'd leave on the RNC's face when your DOZEN "family values" came scrambling out from under the rug ... an entire baseball team of progeny? Or was it just about you needing to be in front of a mic before your new movie premiered? Putting butts in seats your priority here?

Living in the central coast for the past 30 years has given me a clear view of Eastwood ... it's a shame Bill Maher (like too many men) want to ride on his coattails ... guess it makes BILL feel like more of a man ...

I'd like to ask Bill Maher ... do you jerk your employees around like CLINT does? ... do you offer them $9.00 an hour part time when you take their full time job away from them and when they refuse the part time job do you try to take their unemployment benefits too? ... Do you, Bill Maher? ... Well, that's who you just gave the thumbs up too ...

Clint is just Arnold Schwarzenegger without the Nazi/Austrian accent or the Kennedy wife to humiliate ...

Great ... Thanks, Bill ... next time don't depend on your writers and try thinking for YOURSELF ... they came up with NOTHING so all Bill could do was give this Clint the old thumbs up ... These members of the private club ... the fat-backed, white male-dominated good ol' boys society throw their weight around, over and over and over, they are so protected that they have the power to abuse anyone they come in contact with ... employees, women, children, and so here is their "dear old Clint" with his finger to his throat like he's takin' Obama out ... like a mobster character in one of his cheap movies ... it gets OLD ...

These cretins are taking us down, but hey "Bill says HE did kill it in that room" ... and what the hell it's just another joke, eh? ... "Eh, oh, oh eh, what's the matta lady, can't take a frickin' joke?"

But they kill everything they touch ... There is something a bit Sandusky-esque here, for me, ... when power and money can keep abuse so quiet that nobody will ever know ...

But Bill liked the joke ... LOL! ...

But those same voters also said they nonetheless a favorable opinion of Eastwood. In Florida, 72 percent had a favorable opinion of Eastwood compared to 11 percent with a negative one. (That includes a majority of Democrats; 58 percent had a favorable opinion of him, while 20 percent negative.) In North Carolina, 71 percent had a favorable overall opinion of Eastwood, compared to 14 percent negative.

"Those are certainly numbers any politician would die for," PPP said.

He's a business man and he's loyal to his friends and nice to people who can help him do well in business. He's friends with Ann Coulter and defends her character, of all things, pretty frequently, even when he pounds her down on ideas and individual issues. I'd admire the distinction more if the core problem with Ann Coulter wasn't precisely her lack of personal integrity.

Eastwood's different. He's a professional, patriotic, and responsible person who just happens to be wrong on the issues. He only ever presented himself as an entertainer. I kind of agree with Maher on Eastwood, but it's good to remember that this is also a smart career choice on Bill's part.
