7. Mitt Romney may be stupid and elitist, but he's not politically suicidal.
|
And Rick Scott is the equivilant of hemlock. Even in Florida. Especially in Florida.

8. Hemlock. There is no exaggeration in your words, because there's some very expensive coastal
|
real estate that needs bailing-out for Rick Scott's employers, domestic and FOREIGN.

3. Who would say "yes" to this yahoo?
|
I mean whomever accepts the slot is going to be soiled forever. I guess you could say it could become a serious platform for a 2016 campaign but I think the downside is pretty high.

4. Funny-I'm sure that is the same reaction Obama had when he found out that Mittens was running too.

5. I honestly think he's gonna do a 'Sarah Palin' with his picks
|
He's going to pick some obscure person out there probably because most republicans who could be viable VP candidates see this as a losing ticket and don't want to be associated with a loser.
I suspect that was the same thing back in 2008 and why McCain went with Palin (Plus McCain had seen Romney's tax returns and knew that was going to be an issue) |

12. Rick wants to run again in 2016
|
He knows being Mitten's VP would tank his changes.
Like I said - no one wants to be the co-captain on the SS Titanic Mitt Romney |

16. Ricky is silly then, because he never had a chance

Last edited Fri Aug 10, 2012, 05:56 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Not this time, not next, not ever. No amount of trotting out his family is going to help him. There's the dead fetus thing, which I actually understand (I was an L/D nurse for 17 years and helped many families with death rituals around their dead fetuses), but it won't play well in middle America and then there's the crazy that runs deep in him - that's not going to help his chances. He's as batshit insane as Michelle Bachmann (though, why a reasonable state like Minnesota keeps sending her back to Washington is puzzling, she is an outlier).
Poor guy, he actually believes he can grab that gold ring, huh? Not ever going to happen. Edited to add: There's also the really big problem he has for having pissed off Dan Savage enough to get a whole webpage devoted to saying that the definition of Santorum is the frothy mixture that occurs after anal sex. That's not gonna go away. Ever. |

19. You know that and I know that but Ricky and his supporters do not
|
Last edited Fri Aug 10, 2012, 09:15 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) There's something about these uber-religious people like Santorum who feel it's a directive from God that they run for president so they could possible make the USA into this uber religious country.
Even before Rick actually look viable I knew that he'd pick up some support. Look at the primaries - each right-wing crazy had their day in the sun as a candidate until they dove off the deep end. I think the order was Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Newt and then Santorum. And each one of those candidates looked like a winner, had tea party support but they imploded to the point that GOP voters not buying into teaparty bullshit rejected them. Rick was the last one to be the darling of the tea party (anyone but Mitt Romney) but he surged enough at the end that he has delusions of grander that he could actually win presidency in 2016 |

6. There's not enough room on the stage for Chris Christy to be Romney's veep candidate.
|
So, I don't think Romney will pick him.
Christy is not ready anyway. |

15. I wonder what happened to knock Bobby Jindal off the list.
|
Surely his college "exorcist" antics wouldn't be an eliminator. I'd guess that Jindal himself would've decided to remove himself from consideration just to avoid the Romney taint*.
*This is the first time in my life I've used the phrase "the Romney taint" and if there is a loving god it will be the last. . |

ever again. I do not want to think, for even a moment, about RMoney's taint. Thank you very much.
