1. I'm a big Python fan and the "constitutional peasant" is

one of my favorite bits.

4. Solution: Monty Python in the schools.

Replace all current standardized testing with a marathon Monty Python session followed by a grueling exam.

5. "Come and see the violence inherent in the system!"

A very smart piece of political commentary, and it is still just as relevant today as ever. I luuuurve Monty Python!

8. It's true

There really is nothing new in the history of politics. "War Is Merely the Continuation of Policy by Other Means" - Carl von Clausewitz

6. My favorite quotes:

“Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”

“You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.”

17. Yes...but if you tell people that...

you have a "personal relationship" with a 2,000+ year-old Cosmic Jewish Zombie carpenter people would vote for you over someone who tells them the truth! The mere fact that people openly state they would NEVER vote for an atheist is enough to make me vomit. I hold those people and their ilk in the same regard that the Drill Instructor in "Full Metal Jacket" holds new recruits to Paris Island...I only wish that I was able to physically follow them around and subject them to the same kind of DI "love" on an hourly basis!

Human society is such a shell of what it could and should be...its despair-inducing to look around at most corners of our society these days!

16. Monty Python was pure comedic genius!

That bit is one of my many favorites from them....The Dead Parrot, Argument Clinic, Cheese Shop, and "How to Tell a Witch" are just a few more.

Those guys were fantastic!
