are perfect little pawns for parents like this.

These children are molded at an early age through ceaseless inculcation to accept whatever belief system the parent has chosen. As a result they are very pliable and will present the parent's values like flesh puppets.

This young man may very well grow up to greatly resent this and reject his parent's values.

If this shocks you then you are unaware of what children's lives are like in many evangelical households.
