3. no problem

It's nice seeing a source that more interested in understanding a problem rather than politically benefiting from it

2. Well, that pretty much explains how we got to the level of fear

we are experiencing today. This is yet another reason I gave up TV 3 yrs. ago. I had no idea TV news had gotten this blatantly virulent. It's so obviously transparent to me, having not watched this stuff for a while. And it's not just Fox news.

6. It's useful to keep us scared. I just wish...

someone would make a documentary about why more people can't see thru this crass manipulation.

5. This reminds me of the BBC doc "The Power of Nightmares"

which explores more specifically how political forces use fear to sell wars, policy and products.

They certainly didn't shy away from visual examples of the violence they are talking about.

9. The US has to be the most fearful society on the planet. I personally know more people who are

carrying guns for "protection" than ever before. And more than a few vociferously object to "Obama's gun policy." Yet not a single one can tell me what that policy is let alone what their objections are. Send your TV to the recycling center and get rid of your fear.

11. Would any of you let your kid watch this movie?

People get shot, dismembered, and one guy, just one guy kills everyone in the world!
He casually says "You may fire when ready."

Yes, I am talking about Star Wars.
