.....you have an echo of the con in you.

All cons say they only succeed because of the cheat in every mark.

But the other has something profound in it too. Referring to classic cons. Not just the usual sociopath.

...like the white supremacists who have embraced Trump.

I do think that the backlash against Trump will be a wonder to behold.

Having skated with a terrible grief, I know that I did not always make the best decisions or choices while in its grip. It's a pity that coming to terms with the loss of his son led him to vote for a man and a party that don't give a rat's ass about anything other than the almighty dollar.

I was a basket case for two years after my son died. This man has at least realized his mistake and taking his steps to amend by doing this interview.

Trump is just bad news for everyone, some just don't realize it yet. I do not excuse most of them, but this guy for sure.

Why do some people only care when it happens directly to them? He went to 40+ rallies so I'm guessing he was fully aware of the hateful things that were said toward others. But, the turning point was when, he personally was lied to. hmmm

But in this case, given the loss of his son, I'd cut him some slack.

..but it's hard.

A 17-year kid who went to my son's school was swept up in an ICE raid and is gone. Here one day, gone the next. The Mexican American community is scared. The Muslim community is scared. Many Americans are scared. On day one of the campaign, division was sown and vulnerable people became targets. I have empathy for them.

It seems like some people are incapable of empathy for anyone who is the "other". I find it hard to have empathy for them.

So, I may struggle with my empathy for his loss.

I actually asked an evangelical relative on Facebook about this. She was a Trump supporter. I asked her which of Donald's positions aligned with her Christian faith. Or was this just her hatred of Hillary blinding her ability to see him accurately.

She unfriended me.

to see these types of things.... I really do. No parent should outlive their children. Yet, when you put your faith in a con-man that will say anything for a vote you also have to deal w/ the repercussions.
