(9,135 posts)1. I was in Hong Kong in August of 1991
We got to the hotel about 7:00 at night. After going to our room, I decided to take a walk -- my internal clock was telling me it was 7 AM. I was wearing a cotton shirt and light cotton pants. When I stepped outside the both immediately stuck to my skin. The humidity was well over 90% and the temperature was still over 90 as well.

(41,818 posts)2. One of my best friends Linda lives there
She is of Chinese decent and is a lovely person, living there with her Husband. I think she is originally from Hong Kong, but lived in the States for many years. So much so that she has forgotten a lot of Cantonese. She tutors students in English now, and enjoys her work.

Just asking since about 90% of my favorite martial-arts movies come from Hong Kong.
