Self Defense in the age of Herr Pussygrabber

Someone suggested I make this it's own OP, so here it goes.

I won't mince words- predators and abusers are emboldened with 45 in the White House. No matter your size, strength or ability, there are ways to escape the grip of an assailant. Basic self defense classes saved me from a rapist in college. These are some of the same moves I was taught.

And as niyad put it- don't forget to SING, ladies!

I tried about 3 of these on a guy that was strong enough he just stood there and grinned. Plus an attacker isn't going to be as polite or static as this guy.
BUT, through all those years I was hit at one time or another in every imaginable location and I can tell you the one spot that dropped me like a rock and I didn't even remember hitting the floor was when I got hit in the eye.
SO if someone is really coming at you like this, and it is time for it to be him or you: keep your arms up, hold out for that shot and go for the eyes.
Just my $0.2 worth, so that and two dollars can get you a cup of coffee.

as is every martial art. Judo and Tae Kwon Do are very different beasts- I learned these moves in Judo. Arms, legs and fingers don't bend certain ways without severe pain and it takes surprisingly little force to get them into that position.

These are tricks to escape holds and grabs that use the strength/anatomy of the other person against them. Once you aren't being held, you run or go for a tender area.

They worked for me in the field, as it were. They might not work for someone else, but it's better to know SOMETHING than nothing at all. Just my two cents as someone who actually did use these moves successfully to defend herself.

She is a world champion in martial arts.

She moves lightening fast! One of her training tools was to hold a live cobra and avoid its biting strike. True.

(Thanks for the post. It is good for the rest of us to practice.)
