I didn’t realize her extensive knowledge and experience in her field. Many paint her as an environmentalist crackpot.

With environmental regulations and PBS itself under withering assault, I was pretty overwhelmed. These people want to wipe out not just the truth, but the ability to tell the truth in documentaries like these. It's pathetic. Her life was nothing short of heroic.
