1. Like trained animals
|
Mitt and his ilk assess every move as win or lose, risk vs. gain.
Right is a political term and wrong is something someone whats to do to you. Amorality is the rule of the rich. |

9. Not quite the whole story...
|
Two other big factors also at work in this:
1) Accountability is for little people. He doesn't believe anyone has the right to hold him accountable, so he's trying to get away with showing the absolute minimum to say he did. In other words, gaming the system, just like he always has. 2) Force of habit.the Republican scandal MO has for decades now been to stonewall and accuse the press of bias and the Democrats of hyper-partisanship at the expense of the country. Not only is that play book getting increasingly frayed from overuse, but it usually depends on already being in power and thus controlling access to the information needed to go further with the story. He doesn't have that here, and the Obama campaign isn't interested in playing ball on his terms. |

2. Oh god, it's proof positive that they think "You all are too god-damned dumb to know that
|
'something' isn't everything, or to even know that 'something' isn't necessarily the precise something that you NEEED to know about us."

5. Will has always been one of my favorite conservative commentators
|
Will has a different perspective, but he usually gets his facts right and you won't ever, ever hear him say anything like Romney "retired retroactively" from Bain.

If G. Will has this much against Romney, the presumptive nominee, then there is a big push to oust Romney, somehow, someway from running.
What, or who, will rear its very ugly head? Come on George, give us a hint. |

6. That is so obvious as to almost be a tautology. From George Will, however,
|
it can pass for insightful.
