OBAMA UNLOADS: BRUTAL NEW ADKITCHEN SINK: Outsourcing, Tax Havens, Overseas Accounts... 'Instant Classic' Obama campaign advisers said the president, during a second straight day in tightly contested Virginia, planned to remind voters on Saturday of the discrepancies between Securities and Exchange Commission filings and Romney's recollection of his role at Boston-based Bain Capital. Obama was focusing on a state that he won in 2008, a first for a Democratic nominee since 1964, and on an issue that Romney says diverts attention from struggling economy. A new ad from Obama's campaign repeated the charges that the firm shipped American jobs to China and Mexico; that Romney has personal wealth in investments in Switzerland, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands; and that as Massachusetts governor, he sent state jobs to India. "Mitt Romney's not the solution. He's the problem," the ads says as Romney is heard singing "America the Beautiful." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/14/obama-ad-firms-slams-romn_n_1673112.html .

We all learn that song as small children. It's a meaningful song that symbolizes mom, apple pie, baseball and afternoon barbeques.
At least it does for me. It's about our beautiful country and the people in it. Romney sang the song to try & prove how much he loves this country. President Obama has shown us just how thoughtless, uncaring Romney really is. In other words ... profit and power first; mom, apple pie, & baseball second. |

Obama just took a page out of the Repubs' book--he is attacking Romney on Romney's supposed strength. But, unlike the Repubs, Obama is telling the truth.
I will never forgive those Repubs at the 2004 convention who wore bandaids mocking Kerry, who volunteered to fight in Vietnam, while Bush avoided going to Vietnam through his father's influence. |

41. The *only* problem with this ad is...
|
that it requires the viewer to (*Gasp) actually read the title cards citing each outsourcing, or offshore account. I honestly fear that some voters are so lazy they'll turn away when the ad comes on. Asking voters to actually read titles in an ad on the bubetube?! --Reading is so "elitist".
All those stupid rethug ads Always have some wanna-be sinister-sounding voiceover woman or man verbally listing the alleged / fabricated transgressions of President Obama. The use of Mitten's singing is great, though. And I understand his singing couldn't be easily intercut with voiceover listing Mitt's transgressions, so they pretty much had to cut it that way. A parallel might be: There's a reason car dealership commercials yell and scream. Easier to get the message across with direct, and annoying audio (the "so what?") to back up the video. |

As a businessman, Romney shipped jobs to Mexico and China. As a governor, Romney outsourced jobs to India. And as a presidential candidate, Romney should explain to the American people his mysterious corporation in Bermuda, his funds in the Cayman Islands, and the Swiss bank account he opened.” -snip- http://www.politicususa.com/obama-tells-romney-apology-demand-shove.html |

|
can hear it from the kitchen but in this case Romney's singing is enough of an anti-Romney ad all by itself.

Mittens didn't burn it!
I admit at first I was afraid of an ad that relied on visuals. It's not laziness. Ads are the traditional time to head for the kitchen or bathroom break. This one, however, falls into that rare, unique category of awful that will bind people to their seats to watch in awe the spectacle of Mittens strutting around trying to connect through music and then bursting into It reduces the memory of Dukakis drowning in an oversized helmet whizzing around in the tank, and the boing boing flip flop cartoons to ashes. It leaves me wondering if this is what they're leading with, what the hell else do they have in their arsenal? Do you think they'll let Mittens see it? He'll be spitting nails. Confirms that Obama is aiming to get his famous temper out there for all to see. Mittens hates being pranked. BWAH!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA! |

that said Bain should be "off the table" ??! That attacking Romney on Bain was "disgusting" ??!
That was one effective ad. Obama just kicked Romney so hard in the butt that Mitt's ass is bleeding! |

Huge ad and works on so many levels.
I just want to see them keep the pressure going. Romney is terrible when he goes off script. So, they have to make sure that he never has a chance to go back to the talking points. He's not so hot on script either, but it's more cohesive. |

he was doing this to his "bipartisan" partners in congress so we could get more shit done but I'll take this now. This should be the new theme of his next 4 years.
Tell every dumb ass american every day that "republicans are the cause of our situation" as he pulls us out, and sets it up for the next guy. -p |
