Pap and Cenk: Do Not Underestimate The Power Of Complete Ignorance -- Trump Can Still Win

The first 2016 presidential debate is in the books, and the corporate media nearly unanimously declared Hillary Clinton the winner. But when you look at actual independent polls, many Americans thought Donald Trump took the win. So who’s wrong here? Ring of Fire’s Mike Papantonio joins The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur to discuss this.

All of the independent scientific polls have Hillary as the clear winner. All of them. The online polls from Breitbart et al are completely unscientific and riddled with bots. Please don't peddle that crap here.

He has been consistent in his revulsion in the idea of a Trump Presidency. You may be smugly confident in Hillary winning, but Cenk is not. Nothing wrong with that. In fact it helps to have hosts like Cenk keep raising the alarm and keeping apathetic sometimes-voters on their toes.

Not only will Trump have the solid unerring votes of all the racists, sexists, homophopes, evangelicals, and other various bigots, but also there is a yuuuuuge segment that only know him as a brash but entertaining (key) reality TV star. Many who will vote for Trump will do so without ever watching a debate. They think the solution to them not being better off is all Washington's fault, and many will vote for the first time just to thumb their noses at the political class. Besides, it would be "fun" to watch Trump play President.

We are the choir here.
Most of us DU members will be first in line to vote or filling out our ballots before midnight the same day we get them.

After an election, a voter was asked their opinion of the results
and the voter replied," I can't believe that candidate B won,
everyone I know voted for candidate A!

with hundreds of people here. Working class, teachers, LEOs, etc. to a person they think
dumbfuck won. They believe EVERYTHING Fake news says about HRC as long as it's bad.
These people are beyond reach. This state will go for the orange skunk.
But we may have a chance with the senate, Blunt isn't looking too good.

(well, I can hope?)
