A 50-foot tall Native American statue installed in Chamberlain along the banks of the Missouri

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. (KSFY) - A 50-foot tall statue has been installed in Chamberlain along the banks of the Missouri River.

The stainless steel statue named "Dignity" depicts a young Native American woman receiving a star quilt.

A gala event to mark the donation of the statue is scheduled for Saturday, but crews still have some last minute details to take care of.

People in Chamberlain said they are thrilled to have the addition to their city.
