There is simply no way people like that - or Louie Gohmert or Darrell Issa or Rick Scott or Scott Walker or Chris Christie or about 3 dozen other GOP hacks (minimum) - should be anywhere near the hall of power or in the Congress at all...

But here is my real problem and its NOT with the crazies saying outlandish hyperbole!

What "values" exactly does wild applause for that kind of paranoid delusion reflect?
I abhor these fake-Christians and crusading hypocrites as much or more than the character of Jesus loathed the money changers at the Temple.

They are no mean sincere in their professed beliefs than I would be if I said I loved Jeebus. Yet there are no consequences to them for being outright, bald-faced liars and co-opters of the faith from those who DO have a strong and abiding faith. I do not profess Christ or any other deity, but I can respect true men and women of faith for their honest efforts to make the world a better place.

But these "values voters"? They are nothing more than a gang of inane, hypocritical hate mongers. They are a perversion of the faith and no more or less vial that the Taliban or ISL/ISIS/whatever.

Every single person that showed up at that conference, heard those words and wildly applauded is a danger to themself and others and should be called to the carpet for it and forced to defend themself and their outlandish views in public detail. Expose these people for the charlatans that they are and we can at least START to repair the engine of our government once more.

Why, that's like hardly loving America at all. He's got nine kids, for Criminey's sake! And he's not willing to sacrifice two or three to God's own Republic?

What kind of Christian loves his own children more than democracy itself?

Seriously, black men generally got the jobs when racism/sexism started being a big deal. White men could grudgingly accept some black men simply because they were men. Women were altogether a different thing for them, emotionally.
