Louisiana is Drowning, But The Media Wants To Talk About Olympic Swimmers

Have you heard about Ryan Lochte? Probably. The massive floods in Louisiana? Probably not. The media is ignoring one of the largest climate change-related disasters in recent history to go unnoticed because they don’t understand the issue. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

I'd blame it on the populace being a bunch of dullards, but it's probably because it's the only thing many have left to cheer about. Seriously.... how are the medalists of the Olympics or ANY of the pro sports organizations going to impact ANYONE who's not on the payrolls of those organizations??? Team Pride? National Pride? How much of either of those can I EAT or MAINTAIN our home with?
Not wanting to portray myself a fool (Ok - BIGGER fool), I don't waste a minute watching or reading about sports. Of course, that COULD change. If they start mailing out fan appreciation checks - and the amount makes it worth my time - I might start watching some.
