Rob Reiner smokes the media for not making Trump actually answer a question

I haven't had cable for a long time, so watching clips of news shows on the internet is almost like

watching a spectacle

Reiner is pretty much saying when someone spews bullshit you have to call them on it

Amazingly, both hosts he was talking to are just flabbergasted... what? How in the world could we

actually make someone answer a question??

You said yourself he talks in circles, how the hell are we suppose to get an answer out of that?

Seriously, that is their defense. And even worse, they seem really offended.. they are really really

offended that a journalist should be expected to get a politician to answer a question

After cutting the cable for years, this stuff seems pretty crazy

Video is here ..

Reiner is right.....talk show hosts always fail to ask follow-up questions of many people that appear on their programs.....they just let guests ramble on and never confront their idiocy.

proliferates myths and misconceptions. This is done to gin up controversy against Trump's opponents, and/or appease to Trump's base of low-information, low-IQ adults.

The constant interruptions by Scarborough and Brzezinski during Reiner's comments show that Reiner was making them uncomfortable because he was calling them out on something based on fact - the media have been acting like lapdogs for Trump and other people who need to be called out on things they have said and done. We saw this all of the time during the Bush/Cheney administration. It was about a decade after we began the Iraqi invasion when the MSM had their mea culpa and began talking about the lying and other criminal acts from the Bush Administration that led to the invasion of Iraq. By then, it was too late.

Reiner touched on it during his comments when he said the media realized that news programs can make money. The media took that process to the ridiculous heights to where it is today where your news is infotainment. Lead stories surround crap like celebrity freak shows (Kardashians, Jenner, Michael Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, etc). No depth to real news, if it gets covered at all.

The MSM made Trump what he is today and many of them give the fake attitude that they can't figure how that happened.

That's why TV news viewership has been in decline, Scarborough.

Rob Reiner has nothing to say about Bill Clinton radically changing the media landscape with the Telecommunications Act he signed into law? What about formally removing the Fairness doctrine in 2011? How about asking tough questions to supposed Democrats like Reiner why they can't support good Democratic candidates like Bernie? Rob Reiner might be the poster boy for "smug liberal'.
