Although most marketing does involve varying degrees of artistic expression. If one were to draw parallels between those two things, would anyone really want to live in a world where art doesn't exploit gender differences?

I like it.
I'll agree that marketing is not Art, as in fine art, but it is an art, as say ceramics or cabinetmaking. A craft, if you prefer.
