(32,324 posts)Talk about projection - it's classic psychological projection. Clinton supporters have to some how
overlook not only "past history" but on going current day events, like what is happening in the Honduras.
They have to overlook the release of classified material to Blumenthal, they have to overlook the Bill Clinton/Epstein situation. They have to overlook the dead bodies in Iraq. they have to overlook how hard the State Department pushed for the XL Pipeline. And just what was the Quid Pro Quo for her for her husband helping destroy our economy? (Bill Clinton signed off on the Bank Modernization and reform Act that smashed Glass Steagall protections for the middle class into pieces.) No wonder she gets the big bucks for speeches in front of corporations.
The Clinton supporters have to overlook so many questionable activities that the Clintons participated in, including their setting Kerry up so his major influence the day after the Stolen Election of 2004 was their guy Carville whispering in his ear that the outstanding ballots in Ohio did not amount to much.
There is the lack of supervision over the budgetary handling of state Department monies, so that it is estimated that some 6 billions of dollars are unaccounted for. there is Bill walking away from his honorarium for the Laureate "Educational Institute, as he knew it would be bad form if anyone discovered the three million a year he made from a supposed "educational Foundation" that appears to have gotten money from the State Department that Hillary was running.
And on and on, with even the Epstein sordidness impacting her campaign!
Meanwhile all Bernie has done is to refuse to release his 2015, 2016, and 2017 tax returns!

(25 posts)Based on Hillary's HISTORY of being pro-Iraq-war, pro-free trade agreements, pro-prisons for profit, anti-gay marriage, anti-single payer health care, etc. it is very difficult to trust her recent feint to the left (in the vaguest, most non-committal attempt to echo Sanders' thunder). On nearly every issue over the last quarter century she has been behind the curve of progressive principle and judgement while Sanders has been right out in front. Maybe all that corporate & Wall Street cash stuffed into her political career has just slowed her way down!

I'm having trouble remembering who though.
It is truly a mystery wrapped in an enigma surrounded by some well-done scrambled eggs.

(19,326 posts)I especially loved how she didn't allow the Hillary fan to 'have the last word' at
the end of the discussion, despite CNN's attempt to cu off the interview..

(781 posts)She was genuine, well informed and ready.
Emily spoke like a typical mealy-mouthed political gladfly, no doubt influenced by her mentor.
It would be so great to do a career trajectory watch over these two for ten years out.

I am still trying and I am being very sarcastic when I say and see this "Fighting for Us" placard on her podium speeches, I am not, one iota believing that she is "Fighting for US", release your tax returns Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, let's really see who you are "Fighting for US" and what it really means----------------who is the US---------------------
In fact I have given another donation to the Sanders campaign------------------
We will be at this convention --------------------------
Honk---------------for a political revolution Bernie 2016
