It's somewhat more possible where three or more strong candidates split up the delegates throughout the primary season. But we're already down to two. That Hillary is currently ahead in the delegate count is ephemeral. They're counting the Super Delegates who've declared themselves for her, but historically the SDs go with the winner of the primaries/caucuses. Which means if Bernie does very well during the next few months, those delegates will quietly switch over to Bernie.

The likelihood of a contested or brokered convention is a wet dream that pops up every four or so years, and simply shows that those who propose it don't understand very much about how the system actually works.
