They are 30% of the country. I think our base is only around 30% too. I hope I'm wrong.

Maybe that's an old number, because we have made advances in just a few years.

Half of the country doesn't vote. That leaves about 25% Republican and 25% Democratic voters.

The "undecided" is a media creation.

BTW: The republican base is shrinking rapidly which is why they couldn't prevent our first black president.

Or who have given up on the entire system.

This is where enthusiasm comes in. They had it for Obama the first term but he let them down.

They thought he was more Liberal than he actually was.

Add to that a little mentioned dynamic that there are a LOT of rural voters that were in the republican base that they tossed away when they ran Romney and didn't even TRY to win back with Trump or any of the other turds on their plate. Those voters are looking at a grandfather from a rural area just like theirs talking about expanding Social Security and sending their kids to college on Mitt and Trump's dime.

These people are wrong again and again

These are the people who thought they had the answer in 2004 with purple band aides on their hats because they knew they were so right.

If the younger people think of taking care of grandpa, that's good, and social security comes into it.

But they all still watch Fox News because they know they are still right. They don't learn. They are completely fixed against Democrats. It took a long time to happen.

At the least the older ones die, who look like me. But at least I will know the country may and will probably be going in the right direction because old white guys will die off.

There's always going to be that same tiny portion of dumbass white males who think they rule the world but never decide elections.

After a while you learn to give them a park bench and some pigeons they can throw bread crumbs at.

One certain fella supported the ticket especially because of Sarah. He claimed. And not because she was hot either. I know, it is a mystery beyond our understanding.

Apart from a closely matched sound-byte, I think the similarities between that particular Looney Toon and the candidate-from-hell run much deeper. Like Sam, the Don is extremely aggressive and bellicose, a tough-talking evil-doer with a hair-trigger temper and intense hatred. Not to mention unabashed greed. Morally bankrupt.

Rather, I picture Palin as a real-life replica of Lena Hyena.
