When locals from a village in India discovered this poor leopard, the big cat looked more like Winnie the Pooh than any fierce feline. Just like that silly old bear, the curious leopard's head was stuck inside a pot. (We can neither confirm nor deny the presence of honey in the pot, but encourage you to use your imagination.)
Luckily, some brave humans stepped up to carefully help the leopard with his sticky situation. They just had to make sure he wouldn't bite the hand that freed him.

(111,245 posts)The kitty could hear them and knew they were there. Plus, it looks like a juvenile, less inclined to attack because it's not yet hunting on its own. But yeah, I'd have hoped someone with a tranquilizer dart was on the way just to make sure.
I hope they did free the poor thing.

(8,175 posts)they ended up tranking him and as soon as they lift him into a truck to take him back to the wild to release him, the video ends. You don't ever see him wake up, or see the actual release.
It's funny...watching all the videos of how they tried to secure him, I never even thought of tranquilizers. I was just going through all these weird scenarios of how I'd rig up something that would hold the pot so he could pull himself free, while the hoomans were at a distance.
Poor baby...six hours is a long time.

Sharma confirms that after observation, the leopard will be released back into the forest."

(287 posts)I'd imagine it is pretty scary to hear all those voices and not be able to defend yourself if you had to. Thank goodness those who found him weren't the types to take advantage of it.
