Lets bring home every service man and woman home ASAP and send Grover and his pals over to replace them all, ASAP. Look at the billions of dollars the taxpayers would save.

It shows the guy you describe saying that he's a Republican to keep minorities, women, immigrants, etc. from ruining his life - and then it shows a 1%/corporate type who says he's a Republican to keep voters like that middle class guy from knowing he's the one ruining his life.

38. Norquist stole "the original German" from Molly Ivins (Buchanan's 1992 speech at the GOP Convention)
|
On the subject of Pat Buchanan's famously combative "culture war speech" at the 1992 Republican Convention, which attracted controversy over Buchanan's aggressive rhetoric against Bill Clinton, liberals, supporters of reproductive and gay rights, and for his comparison of American politics to religious warfare, Ivins famously quipped that the speech had "probably sounded better in the original German," noting the similarity between the concept of "culture war" and the Kulturkampf of Otto von Bismarck's Germany

48. The burning question?
|
Why does Norquist get so much face time? Isn't he just an ordinary citizen? Apartheid was about rascism, Nazism was about extinguishing a race of people; also rascism. So what he has to say here is mostly about himself and the republicans in this country, it has nothing to do with collecting taxes from a billionaire that owes his fair share. Once again why does this dirt-slinger get so much face time?

50. When he was in the House
|
At various time, Schumer represented Williamsburg (pre-hipster) and Midwood, both of which were and are heavily jewish neighborhoods. So yeah they were voting for a Nazi.
I have problems with some of his policies - he's too close to Israel and Wall Street - but the man is a tireless champion of regular people and the Democratic Party. There is no issue too small for the guy, even though he's a U.S. Senator. I have supported him every time he ran. Compare that to Grover Nordquist, apostle of greed and power, knight errant of would be kings and dictators. |
