They individualize them. The first debate was social issues. Then they will have a separate debate on economy. Another on foreign affairs why is why graham was slammed so much because his answers were all war war war....not the debate topic. And so on. Democratic debates are more multi topic. I think it is because republicans can't do more then one thing at a time.
