One of the good ones. Going to miss her show.
Phil Donahue, Keith Olbermann, Cenk Uyger, Ed Schultz, Alex Wagner, Ashleigh Banfield, Soledad on CNN........funny how the "lib'rul media" keeps canning the outspoken progressives, but rightwingers like Morning Joe are unfireable, despite their low ratings.
But, no worries, folks!
The Choad is coming soon!
and he's bringing all his beltway cocktail party buddies like Pat Buchanan and Bill Kristol with him!

(5,103 posts)Now I have a lot of free time.
Would/does Rachel self-censor? She's my last reason to watch MSNBC. Forward just slammed into reverse!
I'm glad I have a Chromecast. Now anything is on the big screen. FSTV for instance.
Up Chuck!

(135 posts)When did you last here her take on the military budget? But she sure loves to travel to Afghanistan, ride the copters, shmooze with "the troops" and wear those Army fatigues.
And when has she given serious attention to genuine election (not voter) fraud -- i.e., those unverifiable, GOP owned and operated electronic voting machines, and to the disparity with exit polls.
And when did she last invite Noam Chomsky on her show? When did she interview a Russian official to hear their point of view? Maybe someone like UN ambassador Vitaly Churkin, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, or journalist Vladimir Pozner, all of whom speak flawless English.
Never, to my knowledge. And nowhere else on MSNBC.
There are limits in our "free press" beyond which no "journalist" dares to venture.
Just ask Phil Donahue.

(4,919 posts)I've always thought Alex was one of the sharpest hosts on MSNBC... She was thoughtful, witty, and very funny... I liked her noontime panel show better... before she moved to DC and took the 4PM slot. Her show reminded me of Up with Chris Hayes on weekend mornings. Unfortunately, her 4PM show followed the same tired MSNBC formula of repeating the stories of the day in four or five segment blocks.
Is she really being replaced by Chuck Todd? Ugh.

(14,093 posts)But, of course, the question is: How long are the networks primetime hosts safe?
I figure Griffin's ax is going to swing in that direction soon.
MSNBC and Morning JoeDeadIntern have been whining about O'Donnell going after Trump. He's probably next on the list.
They still haven't figured out that their ratings have been a mess because they lost Keith and screwed up a solid and strong liberal line-up.

For one, he ended NBC's long overdue ban on the racist, homophobic and anti-semitic defender of Hitler, Pat Buchanan:

His guest line-up on MTP skews heavily rightwing, and the show is still "Sunday Brunch with John McCain and Lindsay Graham"
