Jon Stewart: Trump Is ‘Living Embodiment of Everything Republicans Were Trying to Exorcise’

Jon Stewart found it amusing tonight that a few years ago, the RNC acknowledged the GOP needed to be more inclusive and not so out-of-touch, but it’s Donald Trump who’s leading the polls.

Because if the lesson from 2012, Stewart observed was to show the GOP isn’t “rich, out-of-touch white men who were alienating Latinos and women,” “the living embodiment of everything Republicans were trying to exorcise from their party” is probably not the best person to put up against Hillary Clinton.

Stewart also had some fun with Fox News for next week’s debate criteria, saying when it comes right down to the last few slots, “They’re going to look at the polls and Roger Ailes is going to pick whoever he wants.”
