to say, yet I'll keep it short. Yes the economic equation is still with us(POC) and the dirt poor. No doubt. But what drives that economic inequality as regards the POC? I love and respect this man. He helped black people raise our heads and say, no more, to the racists who tried to keep us on our knees. As soon as Dr. King started attracting white people with his economic equality speeches, he was assassinated. As long as he spoke of the racism that was the underpinning of economic inequality, he was safe. He was only appealing to the black masses and their allies. Once "living wages" especially for POC and dirt poor was mentioned he was dead. I was there, I know this was what killed him. Racism fine, money talk not fine.

Don't get me wrong, GREAT POST. I love him for what he did for all people. He freed a lot of white people from their ignorance also.

It's been pointed out before that things like social progress are tolerated (barely) as necessary to keep the economic system in place...but don't you dare go after the root of the problem.

As I listened to him speaking, when he reached this point, I knew in my heart that is why he was killed.
