(33,216 posts)he must have put in the card after Ford said it, but no idea how.
Ford's reaction is priceless.

(1,681 posts)David Blaine does about 500 different variations of this trick(I think the one I saw before was with the card showing up on the other side of a window), but the basic idea is to plant the card, then force the person to think of the card you planted.

(33,216 posts)they can "push" cards.
I tell myself I wouldn't fall for it, then know I probably would.

(1,681 posts)Prompt them with a few options by naming suites and cards, then you can in most cases, rule those out...so you have a few limited choices left, then you literally stuff the fruit(through the stem, which you can glue back on) with all the remaining options and memorize where each one is.
The deck is missing all the options you think they'd pick, because they'll only be looking for their card, so they'll never notice that. And on the off chance they pick a card you didn't preplace, you just defer the trick and do another in its place for the time being, then go back to it later, having them pick again. Lots of other ways too, thats just off the top of my head from when I used to try to do that kind of stuff(very badly).

.be seamlessly sealed up after they plant the card?
I think they must plant different cards in maybe five different things around the roomthere was so much fruit thereit looked suspicious to me. And then when Blaine knows the card he saysoh, "open the orange". He would have said "apple" or "banana" if Ford had named a different card.
But how Blain plants them, I'll never know.

Not sure why it's making the rounds again now, but this isn't the first place I've seen it mentioned.
