SNL Mocks Al Sharpton And His MSNBC Show - VIDEO

SNL Mocks Al Sharpton And His MSNBC Show

SNL’s Keenan Thompson ribbed MSNBC host Al Sharpton with a goofy imitation of the Reverend’s over-the-top persona. “President Obama has been pushing this payroll tax hollaback — excuse me, tax holiday!” Thompson exclaimed. “Which has helping middle class folks up and down America and these Republicans now talking about how it’s bad for this and that and the other. Here’s my question — do these people have rocks in their heads?”

2. I have gained new appreciation

for Al since he began his MSNBC gig.

5. So have I. The medium seems to suit him,

And I think his "blueberry pie" commercial for the show is hysterical. Rev Al has quite the sense of humor...

6. I absolutely love that commercial.

It is one of the best in describing what the conservatives do, in addition to being very funny.

3. Rev. Al, like Big Ed, seems more an activist than an analyst, or a journalist.

He's good for an occasional righteous rant. You don't get insight from watching him.

Not a bad send-up by SNL. The Kelly could use some work.

4. Al is great for speeches...

...and rallies. Some of the best one liners I've ever heard have come from Al Sharpton and I'd love to borrow his book. I would never debate him. He does his homework and can counter punch with any one any time. But as far as hosting a show, he's not the most eloquent and it doesn't do him the most justice. Pretty good impersonation by Keenan Thompson, who did a pretty great Herman Cain. The skit itself wasn't spectacular but the part with the communication between Al and the producer did make me laugh
