I always thought he was just a pretty boy and not too deep. I now have a new respect for him. Bravo, John!

"Christian" performer, just as a really "clean-cut" type. I admire him, along with a number of other public figures recently, for admitting to being Atheists. These are the truly maligned and " prejudiced against" citizens in the U.S. (not much in other nations). Self defined "Christians" feel persecuted by anyone who simply disagrees with them. They have no conception of "live and let live." Ironically, I consider myself an Agnostic, not to "play it safe,"but because it drives me crazy as to how our existence came about. All the most brilliant minds over the last centuries may deny a Supreme Being, as do I, but then how did a small organism in a swamp come about in the first place? Our most brilliant scientific minds don't seem to be able to provide an answer.

Apparently though, it was the Smothers Brothers that were on the John Davidson show, July 1981.

On some level, I shouldn't care. In a perfect world, we should be accepted no matter your religious views or lack there of.
But, I think it's cool anyway.

Thanks John, you ALWAYS DID look like that clean cut "Christian" boy! Thanks so, so much for making these statements. Having been brought up in a super Catholic family, I faced this issue myself. Left the church and let all my family know how I felt. Some still try to show me how wrong I am, but I don't argue with them at all. Just tell them they need to remember who they're talking to, it doesn't work for me and hasn't for many many years.

He does look fantastic too! Thanks John!
